I love peg dolls! It is one the most magical ways for children to create their own world and play.
Making their own characters, brings to life fairy tales, myths and legends around the world.
My intention is to spark imagination and creativity while learning about other cultures.
You do not need to get this book, but I highly recommend it. The illustrations are beautiful and the legends and myths and stories are quite succinct. A great introduction to all these tales.

During class, after we have our circle time, I will share one or two stories. We will analyze the story, we will decide what characters will come to life and we will have ample time to create a world and give the kids an opportunity to play together. The peg dolls are small, helping children build dexterity and fine motor skills. We will paint the wood, make clothes for them, use all kinds of materials to create a space where imagination can run wild.
