In this creative and confidence-building self portrait class students will understand and learn about correct proportion, shading and color. We will draw and paint with a wide range of mediums from pencils to watercolors. 
 
Students will study famous self-portraits from artists like Frida Kahlo  to Van Gogh. Learn how and why art makes us feel so many different things.
Each project encourages students to reflect on their individuality—interests, moods, stories, and personality—and bring those ideas to life through art.
By the end of the course, students create a collection of self-portraits that showcase their growth as artists and celebrate what makes them one-of-a-kind.
