This class is great for students to strengthen their understanding of core middle-school science concepts in a supportive and encouraging small-group environment.
Using The Complete Middle School Study Guide: Everything You Need to Ace World History in One Big Fat Notebook as our guide, each week we will work through concepts in a progressive, step-by-step format, ensuring that students can grow steadily from one lesson to the next. Students will build confidence through guided instruction, guided practice, collaborative problem-solving, and in-class activities that reinforce understanding in an engaging way.
We will go at their pace but our hope is to covermsome of the following topics: (TBD)
- The First Humans Prehistory 3500 BCE
- First Civilizations 3500 BCE-300 CE
- The Middle Ages 400 CE-1500 CE
- Renaissance and Reformation 1350-1650
- The Age of Exploration 1400-1800
- Revolution and Enlightenment 1500-1865
- The Era of Imperialism 1800-1914
- World Conflicts in the Early Twentieth Century 1914-1945
- Post World War II The World from 1945 to Today
This class is great for students as both an introduction or review on these topics and get support and enrichment in world history within a friendly, collaborative and encouraging environment!
By the end of the semester, students will have reviewed some of the concepts in these key topics and be ready to continue into later units or more advanced science concepts.
