Let your imagination flow and your handwriting glow!
This fun, interactive class brings together two wonderful skills in a relaxed, encouraging environment perfect for young
writers.
We will provide engaging writing prompts, storytelling games, and plenty of opportunities to expand our student’s creative minds. We’ll explore imaginative stories, silly scenarios, adventurous characters, and use story cubes to spark ideas
and build group stories together.
Students will be introduced to (or continue practicing) cursive writing.
Each class will include a short and friendly cursive lesson, followed by opportunities to practice their new strokes and letters…(maybe even in their creative work!).
Students will create stories with writing prompts, create stories independently and as a group, experiment with story cubes, learn and practice cursive handwriting, share
ideas and celebrate each other's creativity and occasionally complete light at-home writing practice.
By the end of the semester, we hope that each student would like to complete a short story—even if it’s just a few sentences or a paragraph - written in their very own cursive handwriting. A wonderful keepsake and confidence booster!
