There is nothing like the rhythms of Nature to bring awe to our scientific hearts! 
Did you know that mama seahorse visits her partner every morning of his pregnancy?
That  black holes are born from huge explosions and sand is born by the unending movement of waves?
Did you know that without mud the lotus flower can not grow?
 
Life Cycles are truly Nature's Own Art and we will be exploring many of those cycles  based on the book  Round and Round goes Mother Nature by Gabby Dawnay. 
We will learn the life cycles of animals, plants, fungi and the Earth.  We will draw and paint in different mediums the different cycles we will study during the semester. 
I love how this class will allow us to have lots of conversations about life, growth, and the never ending cycles we are part of. 
Like Maria Sybilla Merian, this class will focus on the art of each of the cycles we will see. 
Together we will uncover the interconnected cycles that sustain life.
