I have always loved the idea of reading to the class while the kids are working on a creative project. I came across two books that I think are a perfect fit for this wild and fun Art Adventures class.

The first book is called Find Your Way, by Cassie Stephens.

The stories in the book are all about a new student in school trying to fit in. Inside the art room there are three mysterious doors, each labeled with a cryptic message. You must choose a door and follow the adventure that awaits you on the other side, encountering one of seven world famous artists along the way. What adventures will you go on with Frida Kahlo or Vincent Van Gogh?

The second book is Paint By Sticker Works of Art.

While reading a Find Your Way adventure, the class will work on a masterpiece of an artist from their sticker book and recreate one of famous paintings from the corresponding set of stickers included in the book.  These are a great way to develop concentration, motor skills and mathematical thinking.

Each painting is quite detailed so the kids will have to focus, think, and slow down.

Come find your way and enjoy the different adventures!
