Get ready to dive into exciting stories that celebrate different
cultures, identities, and experiences! In this class, we’ll explore

graphic novels that highlight voices from around the world and right
next door. From superheroes breaking barriers to everyday kids
navigating unique challenges, we’ll read, discuss, and connect with
characters who open our eyes to what makes people different—and
what brings us together.

Along the way, you'll learn how to "read" images and words
together and discover how artists and writers use comics to tell
powerful stories.

Whether you love to read, draw, or just want to explore stories that
matter, this class is a fun, welcoming space for everyone.

We will be reading graphic novels that explore race, gender, culture,
ability, and more. We’ll discuss themes like empathy, fairness and
identity. In a supportive environment we’ll share thoughts and learn
from others.

Let’s celebrate what makes each of us unique—through stories that
leap off the page!
