The vast expanse of the United States of America is filled with a great breadth of land, stories and beauty. Get your backpack together and come join us in this exploration around these 50 States of ours. We will discover the geography, the people, the food, the history, the important Historical figures that shaped our nation, the flags and icons and the fun facts about each state.

Along the way, we will help each other put together a travel log of the States we visit.

This class is planned to last for the entire year. We will visit 25 States during FALL and 25 during SPRING.

LEARNING PLAN:

On each of the 50 states,  we will touch upon  the following KEY FACTS:

NAME OF STATE AND MEANING, STATE NICKNAME, CAPITAL, STATE BIRD, STATE FLOWER, STATEHOOD ORDER , POSTAL CODE

and we will practice its GEOGRAPHICAL PLACE on our puzzles.

We will learn about INSPIRING PEOPLE that was born in that State,  a MOMENT TO REMEMBER in the State’s History and a CELEBRATION unique to that State.
