Due to COVID-19, and thanks to the skill, patience, and flexibility of our teachers and families, ALL of our classes are now VIRTUAL!!!
Thursday classes will remain virtual indefinitely because we see value in this format for our families. But we miss and value seeing our students face to face and love our beautiful classroom setting. We hope to return to campus on Mondays in 2021. We will keep you posted!
Look where we get to offer classes for homeschoolers! I mean, come on!
We are so grateful to be renting space from the McGroarty Art Center! The beautiful home once belonged to local writer, John Steven McGroarty. Shrouded in oak trees and surrounded by an estimated 12 acres of undisturbed native chaparral, it is the perfect setting for learning, exploration, and growth.
It was declared a City of Los Angeles historic-cultural monument (#63) in 1970. Currently run by a non-profit in partnership with the City of Los Angeles' Department of Cultural Affairs, its art programs reach over 7500 people per year. Now that number includes our students, who benefit greatly from having access to the pottery studio and the experienced pottery teachers that McGroarty offers.
